1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Masar (masar.app), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the platform. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Masar. We recommend that you read them carefully before using the platform.
2. Description of Service
Masar is a learning platform that organizes publicly available YouTube educational content into structured learning paths. The platform provides curated video sequences, quizzes, progress tracking, and digital certificates. Masar does not host, upload, or own any video content. All videos are streamed through YouTube's embedded player and remain the property of their respective creators.
3. User Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate and complete information when creating your account and to keep this information up to date. You must notify us immediately if you suspect any unauthorized use of your account.
4. Free and Paid Services
Masar offers both free and paid services: • Free: All video content is free to watch. You can browse learning paths and view their structure at no cost. • Paid: Quizzes, progress tracking, and certificates require an active subscription. These features are available through our paid plans.
5. Subscriptions and Payments
Subscriptions are billed through Stripe on a recurring basis (monthly or annual). By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method at the start of each billing cycle. You may cancel your subscription at any time. Upon cancellation, you will retain access to paid features through the end of your current billing period. No partial refunds are issued for unused time within a billing cycle. Refund requests are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact us at support@masar.app for refund inquiries.
6. Certificates
Certificates are issued upon completion of all lessons and successful passing of all quizzes in a learning path. Each certificate includes a unique verification URL that can be used to confirm its authenticity. Masar certificates are not accredited academic credentials. They serve as a record of course completion on the Masar platform and should not be represented as formal educational degrees or professional certifications.
7. Acceptable Use
When using Masar, you agree not to: • Share, resell, or redistribute your account access or subscription benefits • Circumvent, disable, or interfere with any security or access control features • Scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to extract data from the platform • Use the platform for any illegal, fraudulent, or harmful purpose • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other user accounts or our systems • Misrepresent your identity or impersonate another person
8. Intellectual Property
The Masar platform — including its design, code, branding, quiz content, and all original materials — is owned by Masar and protected by intellectual property laws. Video content belongs to its respective YouTube creators. Masar does not claim ownership over any third-party video content. Quiz questions and learning path structures are original works created by Masar and may not be reproduced, distributed, or used outside the platform without written permission.
9. YouTube Content
Videos on Masar are displayed through YouTube's embedded player and are subject to YouTube's Terms of Service and Google's Privacy Policy. Masar does not control the availability of YouTube videos. If a creator removes or restricts a video, it will become unavailable on our platform. We are not responsible for changes to video availability made by third-party content creators.
10. Limitation of Liability
Masar is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Masar shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the platform.
11. Modifications
We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through a prominent notice on the platform. Your continued use of Masar after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms. If you do not agree with the changes, you should stop using the platform.
12. Governing Law
These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the applicable laws of the jurisdiction in which Masar operates. Any disputes arising from or relating to these terms shall be resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction. If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
